I simply cannot trust a rating of 4.5 stars when 10 out of 15 reviews are: "5 Stars: Very helpful" or "5 Stars: Pleased". It seems to me that many of the reviews are either fake, or by some method, artificially inflated. The ratings and reviews for physicians require significant attention. This is a consequence of any cataloging system working off other information databases, and I'm sure that this can be continuously improved upon.

Firstly, the selection of physicians is not always comprehensive or up-to-date. There are two points, however, that ZocDoc needs to address. I am also impressed by the options for reminders, the checklists for recommended annual eye and dental checkups, and the overall attention ZocDoc pays to keep this system unobtrusive yet appropriately suggestive with respect to one's medical regimen. In addition, the website has issues a fair bit - for instance, just now, it cannot find my email address even though I've been a client for years.Įxtremely convenient, yet physician selection and review system needs workįirstly, I'd like to say that in this digital age, having a single electronic repository of all of your medical appointments (and their corresponding addresses, phone #'s, dates, etc.) is very helpful. Recently, I am no better off than picking a random person via my insurance company provider list. I did find one, however, I had to wait over 90 minutes with no warning on a work day and fill out the same form 3 times because the doctors office couldn't keep their paperwork straight. Recently I had to book a standard appointment with 4 different doctors before I could find one that would meet the following criteria 1) would not violate my privacy rights by reading out all my insurance information and reason for visit to a waiting room full of patients several times and 2) would not cancel an appointment I made on zocdoc without any attempt to reschedule. Some of the doctors I have found here are excellent - my appointment starts on time and I get what I expect, others have been complete nightmares.
